Promising to lift the ban on toddy, Yadav said that the Pasi community has been doing this work for generations and they have no other skills or agricultural land to earn a livelihood.

Reacting to the statement of Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav to keep the toddy out of the prohibition law, Manjhi clarified, 'Nitish Kumar has already freed the toddy under the prohibition of liquor. Alcoholism is not bad. We appreciate Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for reviewing the policy and allowing them to release alcohol -drinkers. However, those who do not pay the fine are put in jail. Nitish Kumar should take strict action to remove this defect in the system.
