Play war status and cricket in the country, it is not right … BCCI’s challenge after suspending IPL

New Delhi: IPL 2025 has been canceled indefinitely due to a tense atmosphere between India and Pakistan. The tension between the two countries is continuously increasing and the army has maintained the front. The IPL final was scheduled to be held in Kolkata on 25 May, but it was canceled due to a war -like situation in the country. A BCCI official said in his statement that it is not right to have a war -like situation in the country and cricket should be played.

The BCCI official told PTI- it does not like that when war is going on in the country and we keep playing cricket. This means that the security of the country is more important than sports. The match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore was scheduled to take place at Ekana Stadium on 9 May. But now this will not happen. The IPL match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals on 8 May was also canceled due to security reasons.

On 8 May, the Indian Army hit more than 50 Pakistani drones at night in Loc and a large counter-drain operation on the international border. Pakistan tried to send drones to India, but it failed.

After these incidents, it was decided to cancel the IPL. This decision was taken because the country’s security is the first. The game can also happen later, but the country should be safe. It is not right to play cricket in the atmosphere in the country right now. Hence the IPL 2025 has been canceled. It will be resumed only when the situation is normal.

Earlier, IPL Chief Arun Dhumal said in a statement last night- We are waiting for the government’s instructions. The decision will be taken soon. Please tell that it was decided to cancel the match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals in Arun Dhumal’s hometown Dharamshala after 10.1 overs. Meanwhile, India captain Rohit Sharma has also supported the Indian Army.
