New Delhi. The funeral of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei will happen within the first week of July. A delegation from India will attend his state funeral. It is being advised that Bihar Governor General Syed Ata Hasnain and Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita will take part from the Indian aspect.
It is noteworthy that earlier this month, Iranian President Masoud Pejeshkian had invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the state funeral and burial ceremony of Khamenei. Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed on February 28, the very first day of the assault launched by the US and Iran. Later his son Mojtaba Khamenei was made the Supreme Leader.
