It will not be that the Bharatiya Janata Party is simply making an attempt to garner a two-thirds majority within the monsoon session of Parliament by breaking the large parties. Many small parties are being monitored and talks are being held behind the scenes for them. Informed sources say that talks are being held with MPs from the ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha in Jharkhand, National Conference of Jammu and Kashmir and Aam Aadmi Party of Delhi and Punjab. It is being stated that if the leaders of those parties don’t assist the federal government on the payments to be dropped at amend the Constitution within the monsoon session of Parliament, then their parties will even disintegrate. It is noteworthy that seven Rajya Sabha MPs of Aam Aadmi Party have defected.
It is noteworthy that there are three Lok Sabha MPs from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, three from Aam Aadmi Party and two from National Conference. BJP is maintaining an eye on these eight MPs. If their leaders agree, they are going to be requested to stay absent from the House on the time of voting. Among these, JMM and National Conference MPs are much less more likely to break free. National Conference leaders know that they can not win on BJP ticket from Srinagar and Anantnag seats. Similarly, the three tribal MPs of JMM know that it’s troublesome to win on BJP ticket. That’s why they need BJP to arrange their leaders. Work goes on on this.
