New Delhi. On the traces of Puri in Odisha, Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath was taken out across the country on Thursday. Union Home Minister Amit Shah participated in the Rath Yatra in Ahmedabad. He first worshiped Lord Jagannath. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel swept the chariot in entrance of the Lord, after which the journey started. From Bihar to West Bengal and from Uttar Pradesh to Rajasthan, a grand Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath befell in every single place.
Rath Yatra was taken out from ISKCON temple in Patna on Thursday. Before the Rath Yatra, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary carried out the aarti of Lord Jagannath. After this, he put a brush in entrance of the chariot and began the journey by pulling the rope of the chariot of the Lord. During this, many state authorities ministers, MLAs and numerous devotees together with Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Chaudhary have been current.
West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari carried out the Chhera Pahanra ritual as he pulled the rope of the chariot to start the fifty fifth ISKCON Rath Yatra. The largest Jagannath Rath Yatra was taken out in Udaipur, Rajasthan. From Jagdish temple, Lord Jagannath Swami, seated on a silver chariot with Goddess Lakshmi and Danirai ji, set out on a metropolis tour.
