Caste Census Analysis: The Modi government has changed the political equation by deciding the caste census. Given a large part of the OBC population, this decision can prove to be a Sixer. The solidarity of NDA will also be strong.
Modi’s stake will be stunned
The Bharatiya Janata Party likes the 50-50 fight in every election. It is clear from the result. This has been proved in all elections from the 2014 Lok Sabha elections to 2024 in Uttar Pradesh. He is Akhilesh Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, whose scope of 50 percent battle in the affair of MY decreases. But the Narendra Modi government has overturned the whole game by deciding the caste census. If you look at the caste survey of Nitish Kumar in Bihar, then about 63 percent of the population belongs to the Other Backward Classes (OBC). This includes Yadav. In Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, the OBC population is 50 percent or more. In this context, the decision of the Modi cabinet is Sixer. The Congress did not release the figures of the socio-economic survey conducted in 2011. The whole fear is on the fight for stake. But one thing is worth noting. The Modi cabinet has decided to census caste census, not on its basis.
Everyone knows what the figures of caste census will come more or less. BJP’s political plan is the Rohini Commission, whose report has not been made public yet. In Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath also formed Justice Raghavendra Kumar Committee. The recommendations were leaked but have not been implemented. According to this, OBC castes should be divided into three parts. Domineering castes like Yadav-Kurmi got seven percent share in 27 % OBC reservation, more backward OBC castes should be given 11 percent reservation and 9 percent to the most backward castes. That is, according to the population, in lieu of giving reservation, divided in 27 percent. I think the same debate is going to happen after caste census across the country.
The Supreme Court made this decision for the Modi government easy. In the historic judgment given last year, the Supreme Court had allowed sub-carpetition in the SC-ST category. If the politics intensifies, BJP can make the weapons of all from Mayawati to Akhilesh and Tejasi. For example, in UP, non -Jatav votes have come to BJP or Akhilesh. It is believed that in the last Lok Sabha election, this vote went to Akhilesh Yadav’s favor. But if the BJP waged the cross -examination of dividing 21 percent SC reservation into non -Jatavas, then who will be harmful and who is easy to understand. The benefit is certain under the leadership of Nitish Kumar in Bihar elections.
Giving information about the verdict, Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Congress did not only conduct the survey. Now the BJP can claim that the real concern of social justice is the same. Along with this, the solidarity of NDA will also be strong. Chirag Paswan, Nitish Kumar, Chandrababu Naidu have expressed happiness over this decision.
What is the risk
The large section of the upper castes has been the core vote bank of the BJP. After this decision, their displeasure may have to be facing. However, there may not be that much damage if the negative is firmly put in front of limiting the scope of reservation. But, till yesterday, Rahul Gandhi was accusing Rahul Gandhi of dividing the society on the basis of caste. On the path of Deen Dayal Upadhyay, the general voter will think about why the BJP, which has suddenly decided to census the caste census, which has suddenly decided the welfare of human beings.
