Standing with government and armed forces
Owaisi said that he is always standing with the government and the armed forces against the external attack and it will continue. The ‘All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’ (AIMIM) head thanked the armed forces for his bravery and commendable skills. He paid tribute to Army soldier M. Murali Naik, EDDC Raj Kumar Thapa and prayed for all the citizens killed or injured during the struggle. Owaisi hoped that the ceasefire would provide great relief to the people living in the border areas. He also urged Indians and political parties to consider the last two weeks.
India is strong when it is united
He said that India is strong when it is united. When Indian Indians fight, our enemies benefit. However, he said that he has some questions and hopes that the government will provide clarity on the matter. He said that I wanted our Prime Minister Modi to announce the ceasefire instead of the President of a foreign country. We have been against third party intervention since the Shimla Agreement (1972). Why have we accepted it now? I hope that the Kashmir issue will not be internationalized, as this is our internal matter.
Why is India agreeing to hold talks in neutral region
He sought to know why India is agreeing to hold talks in the neutral region and demanded to clarify the agenda of these discussions. He asked whether the US guarantees that Pakistan will not use its region for terrorism? Owaisi questioned whether the government was successful in its objective of stopping Pakistan from making future terrorist attacks. He asked whether our goal was to break a ceasefire in Trump’s mediation or bring Pakistan to such a situation that he did not even think about any other terrorist attack?
