New Delhi . Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta on Friday flagged off the adventure ride 2.0 – ‘Bike passion, Devbhoomi’s relaxation’ from New Delhi to Lansdowne Uttarakhand on Friday. The event was organized by the PhD Commerce and Industry Board in collaboration with various corporate and institutional partners. The purpose of this ride is to promote environmental awareness and social responsibility.
Assembly Speaker Vijendra Gupta appreciated the participants of the bike ride on the occasion and said that the yatra is not only an adventure ride, but an inspirational initiative to dedicate the environment and society. He underlined the spirit of teamwork, discipline and civil duty, saying that such efforts strengthen the spirit of awareness and responsibility among the youth.
During the journey, bikers will not only plant saplings, but will also spread social messages by joining local communities. The main objectives of this initiative are to spread awareness for environmental protection, promote social participation, and to empower team spirit.
Gupta hoped that Delhi could become one of the least polluted cities like Uttarakhand and said that such efforts are a positive step in this direction. He mentioned better road conditions, which now makes such bike rides more secure and associates for bikers.
