Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in a post on ‘X’ on Sunday that a very happy National Technology Day to all the scientists in the creation of new India!

He said that our scientists had established our scientific consciousness on the global stage by taking a new step towards the accomplishment of India-Saksham India by doing nuclear tests in Pokhran on this day.

Significantly, on 11 May 1998, India conducted 5 nuclear tests in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The test included 5 explosions, of which the first was claimed to have a 2-step fusion bomb while the remaining four were the fission bombs. The first three tests were conducted simultaneously on 11 May and the final 2 blasts were carried out on 13 May 1998. The tests were collectively called operation power.

Chhath country of India atomic club: Announcing the trials, the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s government declared India an atomic state and said the tests achieved the main objective of giving the capacity of up to 200 kilotons capacity to make the ability to make the ability to make the thermonian bomb and thermonuclear weapons. After testing armed nuclear weapons, India became the sixth country to join the Atomic Club.

Atal ji gave this statement: Atal ji said in his speech at that time, ‘Today, at 15:45 pm, India conducted three underground nuclear tests in the Pokhran range. Today the tests conducted were carried out with a fission tool, a low yielding equipment and a thermonuclear equipment. The measured yield corresponds to the expected values. Measurements have also confirmed that there was no emission of radioactivity in the atmosphere. These were limited explosions like an experiment in May 1974. I heartily congratulate scientists and engineers who have carried out these successful tests.
