Vocal for Local changed Nuraz’s life
The slogan not only talked about promoting local products, but also motivated people to find new employment opportunities in their village. A living example of this is Mohammad Nouraz, a young man from Lakhora village in Motihari, who established a bag factory in his village and gave employment to about 100 people and realized the spirit of ‘Vocal for Local’.
Immersed in Korona and stood up in Kovid
The story of Mohammad Nourage is inspiring. Before Korona, he used to run a factory to make his bag in Maharashtra. But the lockdown closed his factory during the epidemic. He was forced to return to his village Lakhora. At that time there was an atmosphere of unemployment and uncertainty. But Nuraz did not give up. Inspired by the Prime Minister’s ‘local for vocal’ and the slogan promoting startups, he decided to start a bag factory in his village itself. Today, his factory has not only become a source of income for him, but has also become the basis of employment for hundreds of people in his village who returned to Bihar during Korona and became unemployed.
Nuraies is providing employment to 100 people
The Noorage factory is currently working in the factory. All these employees are local and most are those who previously worked in Delhi, Mumbai or other cities. There was a employment crisis in front of him when he returned home after lockdown. But Nuraz’s initiative changed his life. Employees working in the factory are not only financially self -sufficient, but have also got a chance to spend time with their family.
Bag factory changed life
Mohammad Nouraz said, ‘All people returned home after lockdown. Then the Prime Minister’s plan came with the ‘Local for Wocal’ initiative, in which people were encouraged to stay at home, start business and work locally. Therefore, we decided to set up a bag factory here. People working here come here and at this time there are about 110 employees. We are also having good income. I get a lot of satisfaction from this work. People working in our factory are happy, they are getting regular income and they are enjoying life by staying with their family.
Owner is also happy, employees are also happy
Mohammad Zeeshan, an employee working in the factory, expressed his happiness, saying, ‘We returned to the village after Corona and there was no hope of employment. But this factory gave us new life. Now we do not need to go to Delhi or Mumbai. This is where we are getting good work in our village, we are also getting an opportunity to live with the family.
Factory became model for village
This initiative of ‘Local for Vocal’ not only created employment opportunities at the local level, but also strengthened the village economy. The bags prepared in the Nuraies factory are not only being sold in local markets, but their demand is also increasing in other areas. This factory has now become a model for the village, which shows that the right direction and hard work can achieve success even under adverse circumstances. This attempt of Nuraz is an inspiration not only for his village, but for the whole country. His story proves that if there is willpower and the government’s plans are used properly, every disaster can be converted into opportunity.
