Vyomika Singh & Sofia Kurashi
The Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India has recently exposed a serious cyber fraud. Fake social media accounts have been created in the name of Vyomika Singh, Wing Commander of the Indian Air Force participating in Operation Sindoor and Colonel Sophia Qureshi of the Indian Army. These accounts were being showed with Verified. Both these accounts became increasingly viral on social media platform X. These fake accounts have tried to spread wrong information by misusing the popularity of both the officers.
Vyomika Singh and Sophia Qureshi have no official account
Both Vyomika Singh and Sophia Qureshi have no official account on X. Nevertheless, these fake accounts have added 28,400 followers in the name of Vyomika Singh and more than 68,000 followers in the name of Sophia Qureshi. PIB has issued strict warning in this case asking the public to get information only from official sources and avoid fake accounts.
