- Durga Prasai’s arrest is a violation of human rights

Kathmandu. Nepal Communist Party (EML) President and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has strongly demanded the government to immediately release the arrested Durga Prasai. He stated arresting Prasai for “merely speaking” or “making the video public” was a severe violation of human rights.
Describing Prasai’s arrest as “unacceptable”, Oli stated the Human Rights Commission has already stated that arresting merely on the foundation of talking is a violation of human rights. The government has no proper to violate human rights. The government ought to depart them, step again. President Oli alleged that the government had arrested Prasai “out of anger and excitement over his statement” and that the government was making an attempt to suppress Emale “like a cat chasing a rat.”
