How was the preparation of operation vermilion?
On 22 April, 26 people were killed by terrorists associated with Pakistan in Pahalgam. Most of them were tourists. After this attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi pledged to track and punish the terrorists. NSA Ajit Doval formed a special team that monitored terrorist activities in Pakistan and POK.
The team identified the new terrorist bases and was constantly monitored. Special monitoring of terrorists’ movement, training activities and location were specially monitored. Ajit Doval shared the entire plan of the attack with PM Modi. During the conversation, it was decided that the attacks would be limited only to terrorist bases. This does not cause any harm to common people or military locations.
