Recently, the result of UPSC CSE 2024 has come, in which many people have qualified the most difficult exam in the country. Prayagraj’s Shakti Dubey has topped the exam. Now she will take training first for the service of the country, after which she will take responsibility for civil service. Let us talk about this year’s topper, but do you know that there have been a UPSC topper who after IIT then did a job in MNC and left his luxurious life and prepared the UPSC and qualified the exam.
Yes, we are talking about IAS Gaurav Aggarwal. He hails from Rajasthan and at the age of just 17, he secured All India 45th rank in the IIT Entrance Exam. He took admission in Computer Science in IIT and passed it. In a media interview, he told that his CGPA was not good from Computer Science to B.Tech, due to which he did not get good offers after B.Tech.

From here, Gaurav Aggarwal again gave himself a challenge and prepared for CAT for IIM. He also cleared CAT and completed his MBA in IIM Lucknow. In IIM, he worked hard and topped the gold medal. After this, he turned abroad for the job and went to Hong Kong and worked in the city group.
Target to become IAS
During a good job, he remembered that he wanted to become an IAS at the time of graduation, after which he came back and prepared for UPSC. For the first time, he ran 244th rank and got an IPS cadre but he was determined to become an IAS. Gaurav once again attracted and topped in 2013. Gaurav is currently posted as Collector in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
