In 10 district category 2 of Haryana adjacent to Delhi, Home Secretary Sumita Mishra told how the mock drill will be in the state?

Chandigarh: According to the instructions of the Central Government, mock drills will also be organized in Haryana under National Civil Defense. On Tuesday, a high -level virtual meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Union Home Secretary, in which senior officials across the country participated. Chief Secretary from Haryana Anurag Rastogi, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Dr. Sumita Mishra and Director General of Civil Defense and Home Guards Desraj Singh were present. Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department, Dr. Sumita Mishra said that Haryana is fully ready to successfully organize civil security exercise to the village level with the help of district and local authorities.

Mishra said that all the Deputy Commissioners are the leaders of civil security in their districts. They have been given detailed instructions to organize this mock drill well. He further informed that according to the current guidelines of the Ministry of Home Affairs, 10 districts of Haryana are in category-2. These include Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Panchkula, Panipat, Rohtak, Sirsa, Sonipat and Yamunanagar. The category of districts is decided according to the danger. Mishra said that Jhajjar is in category-3. He further stated that the overall system of civil security in the state has been activated, including sirens in urban and sensitive areas, air strike warning system, control room hotline, radio communication links with Indian Air Force and other major defense agencies.

All control rooms will be active
Mishra said that crash blackout protocols will be implemented and expulsion exercises and emergency response plans are being implemented in various fields. Training and awareness programs on security measures for common citizens, students and prominent personnel are also being organized. The response capabilities of civil security services such as warden, fire and rescue team, depot staff and medical personnel are also being investigated. He further stated that the State Disaster Management Department has also been instructed to activate the state level and district level control rooms, so that initial warnings, real -time information sharing and coordination can be ensured.

Dr. Sumita Mishra said that Haryana preparations reflect the state’s strong commitment to civil security and disaster response. He said that the purpose of this drill is not only to test the response ability of our systems, but also to promote a sense of vigilance and flexibility among the citizens. He said that coordinating with the Home Department, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Police, Municipal Bodies and other concerned agencies, it is fully committed to make this mock drill successful and effective.
