India stopped the water of Chenab River, now Pakistan will crave for water!

The decision of the Government of India to suspend the Indus Water Agreement has increased the tension between Pakistan and India. This decision is part of the tough steps taken against Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack. The suspension of this agreement will help India to pursue hydroelectric projects that have been stalled in Jammu and Kashmir for many years. Among these projects are the Sawal Kot Project on the Chenab River and the Pakal Dul project are prominent. Thousands of MW of electricity will be generated from these projects and irrigation and drinking water facilities in the plains will be better. After the suspension of the agreement, India no longer needs to give any prior notice to Pakistan or share data. Watch video
