MP from Indore Shankar Lalwani has given a big statement about Sindhi refugees from Pakistan. He said that Sindhi Hindu refugees who come to India from Pakistan will not be sent back to any situation. He has released this statement in a video. However, he is making statements in Sindhi language in the video.
In the video, he made it clear that Sindhi Hindu refugees who came to India on a long -term visa (LTV) would not be sent back to any situation. He has tried to make his point to Sindhi society by making a statement in Sindhi language. MP Lalwani said that the safety and future of these refugees are included in the priorities of the central government. At the same time, he assured that efforts are being made to give Indian citizenship to them soon by simplifying the citizenship process.
Please tell that this statement of MP Lalwani has come at a time when many Sindhi refugees were in dilemma about their future. His assurance is considered a relief for the Sindhi community. He said that he is constantly advocating the rights of the Sindhi community and the government is also serious in this direction. However, this statement has brought relief to thousands of Sindhi refugees who have been living in India for many years and waiting for their citizenship.
How many Sindhi families are in MP: Let us know that there are about 3 thousand Sindhi families in Madhya Pradesh who came from Pakistan on a short term visa and settled here. Most of them live in Bhopal and Indore. These families have been applying for Indian citizenship for the last seven to 25 years. According to the Pujya Sindhi Panchayat, despite the delay in these cases, the central government has given the right to provide citizenship to the collectors of Bhopal and Indore. It is noteworthy that about 50 percent of the Pakistani citizens settled across the country live in Indore, mainly from Sindh province, especially from Karachi areas.
