Major accident averted during Premanand Maharaj’s padyatra, heavy iron structure hanging above the head, watch video

Mathura: In Vrindavan, a major accident with Saint Premanand Maharaj was averted on Wednesday. During his padyatra, a part of the heavy iron structure installed for the reception suddenly fell under the pressure of the crowd. In time, devotees took over it, which averted a major accident. This incident has raised questions on the security system and has inspired the administration to take strict steps to avoid such incidents in future.

In fact, during the padyatra of Sant Premanand Maharaj, welcome gates were built at many places on the way. A heavy iron structure was placed at one of these places. However, the balance of the structure deteriorated and he started falling in front of the saint. Thankfully, the people and organizers present there caught him before falling. This did not harm Saint Premanand Maharaj and other devotees.

After the incident, there was chaos among the devotees and people started running around. However, the organizers and security personnel immediately handled the situation. Sant Premanand Maharaj also gave a message to everyone to remain calm and continued his padyatra. After his message, people calmed down and the journey proceeded without any obstruction.

After this incident, questions are being raised about the security arrangements on the administration and padyatra organizers. Devotees have expressed concern over negligence in security. Taking the matter seriously, the administration has instructed to make strong arrangements to avoid such incidents in future.

Significantly, on May 2, Kelly Kunj Ashram reported the closure of the yatra. However, the ashram did not say how long the journey would remain closed. On behalf of the ashram, there was an appeal to the devotees that Premanand Maharaj has stopped the night journey, so do not stand on the way to see. The sevadars had told the devotees that Premanand Maharaj’s health is not good, so he will not take a padyatra. All the devotees standing in the queue on the journey route returned disappointed without darshan.
