This place is directly related to the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The Indian Army has also attacked inside the PoK. Sawai Camp has been targeted by missiles in Tangdhar sector. This place is also a Lashkar center, which is associated with many high-profile attacks including Sonamarg (20 October 2024), Gulmarg (24 October 2024) and recently in Pahalgam. Apart from this, Gulpur has also been targeted in Poonch-Rajouri belt, 35 km from the Line of Control. Intelligence input shows that it had a role in an attack on Indian soldiers in Poonch in April 2023 and the attack on bus carrying Hindu pilgrims in June 2024.
- Bahawalpur: 100 km from the international border. It is the main headquarters of JEM, which was founded by Masood Azhar here. The plot of Pathankot attack and Pulwama attack was hatched from here.
- Mudke: 30 km from the border, the center of Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) and its front organization Jamaat-ud-Dawa (Jud). It is the main training and operation center of Lashkar-e-Taiba, from where the 26/11 Mumbai attack was planned.
- Gulpur: 35 km from LoC, Poonch-Rajouri (2023 Poonch attack and 2024 attacks on pilgrims were hatched from here)
- Sawai: 30 km inside Pak occupied Kashmir. Sonamarg was associated with attack, Gulmarg attack and recent Pahalgam attack. Located close to LoC, this camp is very active for infiltration. It remains under the supervision of ISI and is a meeting here before every operation.
- Bilal Camp: JEM Launchpad-This center is associated with the activities of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
- Kotli Camp: 15 km from LoC, in front of Rajouri. This ISI -backed organization has been targeting high value in Kashmir. The main route of infiltration also goes from here due to the very close of LoC.
- Barnala Camp: 10 km from LoC, in front of Rajouri- Center for terrorist organization Jamaat Ud Dawa. This center is called a new ideological and radical extension of Jud behind Ahle Hadith branding. Funding, training and conceptual poison are spread from here from here.
- Sarjal Camp: 8 km from the international border, in front of Samba-Kathua (JEM camp). Here the center of Hizbul Mutahideen has been blown into a blast. In this sector of POK, this organization offers infiltration preparation, map, and ground training.
- Mehmuna Camp: 15 km from the international border, Sialkot (Hizbul Mujahideen Training Center)- This is a less popular, but extremely deadly center that performs local recruitment and training in Kashmir. Was active even in the 1990s, now standing again with new names.
The Indian Ministry of Defense said in a statement that military attacks were carried out under Operation Sindoor.
