Government and opposition together
India seems to be standing firmly against Pakistan and terrorism. Opposition stands with every step of the central government till Pahalgam terror attack and ‘Operation Sindoor’. The Congress and other opposition parties did not place any condition for their support for the government. He allowed every step against Pakistan and terrorism. Its Indian Army destroyed the terrorist hideout in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor, without raising questions and asking for evidence, they were seen shaking the tone of the government.
In the Pahalgam case, the opposition is not repeating mistakes like Uri and Pulwama case. After the Uri attack, the Indian Army had an air strike against Pakistan after the Uri attack and the Pulwama’s attack, which the opposition raised questions and was seeking evidence. The BJP had put the opposition in anti -national dock, which the opposition had to bear political. In such a situation, the Opposition is seen standing with the Army and the government till the Opposition Sindoor.
Pahalgam to Operation Sindoor
On April 22, 26 innocent tourists were shot dead by terrorists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. This terrorist attack shook the country. After this incident, the opposition parties had announced to support the unconditional government, but the Congress and some regional parties later raised the issue of ‘security and intelligence agency omission’. Despite this, the opposition had demanded the government to fix accountability in a timely manner and said that it is time to show our collective will to teach Pakistan a lesson and decisively curb terrorism.
When the Indian Army strikes terrorist bases in Pakistan through Operation Sindoor, the opposition welcomed the opposition without losing time. The opposition raised the slogans of ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Jai Hind’, giving credit to the army. In this way, at every step of the government, the opposition was seen standing firmly and is busy encouraging the Indian Army. In this way, the mood of the opposition has seen completely different from the previous political stands. No questions are being raised by the opposition and no evidence of Operation Sindoor is being sought.
Congress damage after Pulwama
In 2019, there was a terrorist attack in Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir, in which 40 security personnel of the country were killed. After this, the Indian Army did an air strike in Balakot, Pakistan, in which many terrorists were killed. A day after the Balakot attack, this issue was campaigned in the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, 21 opposition parties had issued a joint statement saying that they had expressed grief over the BJP -led NDA government on doing politics on the issue of army sacrifices.
Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh had demanded the Modi government to provide ‘evidence’ of the damage to Pakistan on Balakot, for which he and the Congress party had to face criticism. During the Lok Sabha election campaign, the BJP had made this matter an exercise to put the Congress in the anti -national dock, which the Congress had to bear a lot of loss.
Surgical strike Congress was surrounded
The terrorists attacked Uri’s military camp in 2016, in which 19 people died. After this, the Indian Army entered the Pakistan border and had a surgical strike on the launchpad of the terrorists. On the second day of the surgical strike, the Modi government called an all -party meeting. The then External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had gone to meet the hospital admitted to the hospital to meet Sonia Gandhi. In the all -party meeting, the Modi government gave less details of the operation, but Sonia Gandhi had issued a statement saying that the party ‘stands up with the government’ and the strike was described as “a strong message, which reflects the resolve to stop further infiltration and attacks on our country’s security forces and our people.
Rahul Gandhi also tweeted that we are standing firmly and united against all terrorism and terrorists. The Congress party and I salute the soldiers of the country. However, a few days later, Rahul accused PM Modi of ‘doing politics on the blood of soldiers’. After the attack, he said that I fully support the surgical strike and I have said this clearly, but I will not support the use of the Indian Army in political posters and publicity across the country.
Not only the BJP but also the Aam Aadmi Party reacted sharply to this attitude of Rahul. Arvind Kejriwal had said that Rahul Gandhi should not have used words like ‘brokerage’ and the demand of time is that all should be united. He said that I strongly condemn what Rahul Gandhi said about our soldiers. At the same time, BJP President Amit Shah said in a press conference that some parties tried to question the surgical strike, some also expressed doubts, I condemn all those who have insulted our Indian armed forces. In this way, it became expensive for the Congress to respond later.
Congress changed political stand
The political stand of the Congress has now changed completely. After Uri and Pulwama, the Congress party, which questioned the action of the Indian Army, is seen standing together on the action of Operation Sindoor. With the Modi government’s details of Operation Sindoor, the Congress did not have any confusion about the party line, for this, the Congress called a CWC meeting. Rahul Gandhi said that we discussed and we have full support to the army. Best wishes to the army of the country, a lot of love to them, full support from the Congress party.
The Congress has also announced that on the suggestion of party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, all its political programs including the Constitution Bachao rallies have been postponed. Not only this, the Karnataka Congress removed the post on its X, in which a post praising the army personnel was put up. It was said in the earlier post, the most powerful weapon of humanity is peace -Mahatma Gandhi.
NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar said that he has spoken to Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and assured him to give full support of his party. Apart from this, all the opposition parties also did not delay a single minute to stand with the government after the Pahalgam attack and then appreciate the action of Operation Sindoor.
AK Antony, who was the Defense Minister during the UPA government, has often attacked ‘Operation Sindoor’ as ‘one beginning’. He said that he is sure that the Indian Army will take decisive steps to target the terrorist camps located behind the Pakistani Army bases on the border. AAP leader Kejriwal said that the courage of the Indian Army is the trust of every citizen. We are all together and united against terrorism. Similar RJD leaders Lalu Prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav also welcomed the move of Operation Sindoor and salute to the soldiers of the country.
SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, who often stands in opposition to BJP, has seen the tone of the government since the Pahalgam attack. Appreciated Operation Sindoor and made army personnel for action on Pakistan. Not only this, the CPI also believes that after the Pahalgam attack, India had no option but to respond. The Left used to remain against such action till this, but the Pahalgam attack has changed its attitude. In this way, similar admirect statements also came from other opposition leaders.
