New Delhi. The saying is ‘not in the house, not in the house and the mother is roasted’. The same thing applies to Pakistan nowadays. Pakistan has been so immersed in hatred from India that it does not see his own ruin. It has only one objective to harm India. He neither means by his progress nor by advancing the country. That is why he is spending most of his budget only on arms and strength of the army. Now he has once again sent a recommendation to increase his defense budget by 18 percent.
Pakistan’s coalition government has started preparing to increase the defense spending by 18 per cent in the next budget due to tension with India to more than Rs 2,500 billion i.e. Rs 2.50 lakh crore. The report released by Pakistan media on Tuesday claimed that the government is preparing to present the budget of 2025-26 in the first week of June before the new financial year starting from July 1. The tension between India and Pakistan has increased since the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Discussion has been done on increasing budget
According to the report of the newspaper ‘Express Tribune’, the party’s delegation led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari met Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his economic team on Monday to discuss budget matters. The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)-led government shared a new budget structure of about Rs 17,500 crore with its leading colleague PPP, which is an increase of 18 per cent in defense spending.
Budget increased in protest against India
The newspaper quoted sources as saying that due to recently increased tension with India, it has been agreed to increase the defense budget between PML-N and PPP. In view of the current security threats, the PPP supported the proposal to increase the defense budget by 18 per cent to more than Rs 2.50 lakh crore. In the current financial year (2024-25), the government allocated Rs 2.12 lakh crore for defense spending, which is 14.98 per cent higher than Rs 1.80 lakh crore kept in the budget for the previous financial year (2023-24).
Excess of budget in debt
Pakistan spends most of its budget to repay the debt. If he looks at his Salana expenses, it comes to repaying the loan on the first number, while the army costs the second number. In the current financial year, Pakistan has to spend Rs 9.70 lakh crore for loan payment. This is about 50 percent of the total budget of Pakistan. If we talk about Pakistan’s education and health budget, then its annual cost is less than the army’s expense. It is evident from his budget that instead of bringing its country on the path of progress, the Pakistani government is intent on throwing into the war.
