Speaking in an interview to Russian Broadcaster RT on Saturday, Pakistan’s top diplomat Muhammad Khalid Jamali said that Islamabad has reliable intelligence information that states that India is planning a military attack on the Pakistani region. The Pakistan Ambassador to Moscow while giving jackaling said that “some documents have been leaked according to which it has been decided to attack some areas of Pakistan.” He further said that “Therefore we feel that this is going to happen and it is certain.”
Pakistan threatened to drop atomic bomb
Leaders and retired officers have been among the people who have so far from Pakistan. But this is the first time in the last few years when a nuclear attack has been threatened by a top diplomat. He said, “We will use both traditional and atoms in Pakistan,” he said. Jamali’s threat came after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on 22 April, killing 26 people. The incident has increased tension between the two nuclear-cosmetics neighbors. India has accused Pakistan of involvement in a terrorist incident, but as usual Pakistan has denied it.

After the Pahalgam terror attack, India suspended the Indus Water Treaty (IWT), which has led to a possibility of water crisis in Pakistan in the coming years. The Indus Water Treaty, which was made in 1960, is an agreement that the World Bank intermediaries and controlled the distribution of water of the Indus River and its tributaries between the two countries. The treaty persisted between India and Pakistan despite several wars and was seen as a rare stable system in stressful bilateral relations for a long time. Jamali has called India’s decision ‘Act of War’. He said, “Any attempt to grab the water of the lower coastal area, stop it or change its direction will be a war action against Pakistan and it will be answered with full force, which will also include full force.”
Earlier, Pakistan Defense Minister Khwaja Asif also said in an interview to Geo News on Friday that Islamabad will target any infrastructure formed by India violating the treaty on the Indus River. Asif had said that “of course, if they try to create any kind of structure, we will attack it.” He had said that “aggression is not just about running cannons or bullets, but it has many faces. One of them is a face (stopping or turning water), causing deaths due to hunger and thirst.”
