India engaged in making a new strategy after suspending the Indus Water Agreement
After the Pahalgam terror attack, strict steps are being taken by the Government of India against Pakistan. The biggest decision was to suspend the Indus Water Agreement, after which the situation in the neighboring country is getting very bad. The pressure between the two is also increasing. This decision is also being considered in the interest of India as after suspending the agreement, efforts will be made to expedite the stagnant hydroelectric projects in the country.
Since suspending the Indus Water Agreement, there have been two big meetings of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Water Power Minister CR Patil. This week, there is a possibility of another big meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah.
Many other ministries will also be involved in the important meeting

According to the Indus Water Treaty, it was necessary to give six months notice to Pakistan before starting any new project from India, but now it is not necessary to do so since the treaty was suspended. Also, there is no compulsion to share data now.
Now in the changed situation, it will be possible to create new projects on Chenab and Jhelum and revive the Wular lake. In this work, the Indus Water Treaty was coming in the way. It is believed that at least 6 hydroelectric projects in Jammu and Kashmir are expected to be accelerated.
