Gorakhpur There is good news for those traveling by train during the summer season. North Eastern Railway Administration has made a special plan for the convenient visit of railway passengers. Keeping in mind the heat, arrangements have been made to ensure the availability of pure drinking water in all stations and railway colonies, so that passengers will not have to buy expensive water.
The availability of pure drinking water in railway stations and colonies is being ensured. For adequate water supply arrangements, adequate number of taps as well as water coolers and water vending machines have been installed at major stations. Also, hand pumps have been arranged at the railway gate.
A total of 238 water coolers have been installed for the arrangements of soft drinking water for passengers at various stations of the three divisions of this railway, in which 73 water coolers have been installed on Varanasi division, 90 on Izatnagar division and 75 on Lucknow division.
Dilip Kumar, Executive Director Information and Publicity of the Ministry of Railways, says that this system has been started at some stations, water will be provided soon at other stations.

Similarly, 55 water vending machines have been installed on the North Eastern Railway to provide pure drinking water as per the demand of the passengers, of which Gorakhpur Jun. 12 on railway, 01 at Khalilabad station, 04 at Basti station, 04 at Gonda station, 02 at Badshahnagar station, 02 at Aishbagh station and Lucknow Jn. 04, Chhapra Jn at the station. 06 at the station, Siwan Jn. On 04, 02 at Deoria Sadar station, 02, Bhatni Jn. 01 at the station, 02 at Ballia station, Mau Jn. 02 at the station, 02 at Ghazipur City Station, 01 at Azamgarh station, 02 at Banaras station, 02 at Varanasi City Station, Salempur Jn. 01 at the station and Kaptanganj Jn. 01 water vending machines have been installed at the station.

Through these water vending machines, railway passengers at cheap rates. Water is being provided. 300 ml. Water service camp was also organized
Northeast Railway Bharat Scouts and Guides organizing water service camps at various stations and distribution of free water to railway passengers. The purpose of free water service is to provide cold water to railway passengers during summer.
