Bilaspur. The CBI raided the locations of Vishal Anand, Chief Engineer of Railway, arrested for taking bribe of Rs 32 lakh from the contractor. Recently, the CBI arrested Vishal Anand, four including the contractor. After the arrest, the CBI raided the targets of the engineer in Ranchi, Bilaspur, Delhi. The raid found information about jewelery shop, diamond and readymade garments, flats and a complex in Ranchi. Apart from this, the factory in Begusarai was also found making with black earnings. 70 lakh rupees cash, one kg of gold has also been recovered from the locations of corrupt engineer.
South East Central Railway is posted as an engineer of Vishal Anand. Prior to South East Central Railway, he was serving as Senior DEN Coordination in Ranchi Division for three years. During this time, he was also accused of irregularities. His tenure in Bilaspur has also been full of discussions. On 25 April, Vishal Anand’s brother Kunal Anand was trapped by the CBI taking a bribe of Rs 32 lakh from the contractor in Ranchi.
The big Jhajharia Company, which manufactured in the railway, sent this bribe. Jhajharia Construction Company is being done in the railway across the country. Jhajharia Company has also got a contract of 400 crores to build the station of Bilaspur on the lines of the airport. Chief Engineer Vishal Anand demanded a bribe from the company’s direct Sushil Jhajharia to give the under -bridge, over bridge, lining work in the railway. On April 21, Vishal Anand went to the company’s office in Bilaspur and met Sushil Jhajharia and talked about bribe. On being agreed, Vishal Anand had said to reach the bribe amount in the hand of his brother living in Ranchi. Sushil Jhajharia agreed for this. Ranchi is also a hometown of huge bliss.
Sushil Jhajharia sent his employee to Ranchi with Rs 32 lakh. When Jhajharia’s employee gave the bribe amount to Kunal Anand, brother of the Chief Engineer, he was arrested by the CBI team at the same time. After which Chief Engineer Kunal Anand and contractor Sushil Jhajharia were arrested from Bilaspur.
CBI is collecting information about the property of him and his relatives after the arrest of Vishal Anand, Chief Engineer of Railways. In addition, the team is investigating potential irregularities in the contracts of Jhajharia Construction Limited. The CBI team also raided the office of Jhajharia Company, where documents of corruption and irregularities were seized in railway projects. This company has received contracts for many major construction works of the railway and projects worth crores of rupees have been allocated in recent years. The CBI is now fully investigating these contracts. Vishal Anand has also been posted in Railway Corporation. During this period, the CBI is also investigating the tenure.
