BrahMos’s might shown in Operation Sindoor
The Chief Minister greeted the brave soldiers of the three defense forces of India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and congratulated the people for the success of Operation Sindoor. The Chief Minister said that it is necessary for any self -reliant country to achieve that goal instead of depending on other countries of the world for its defense supply. Israel is an example of this, which has achieved the goal of self -sufficiency in the field of security. He has forced his adjacent enemy countries to chew the gram.
Uttar Pradesh is achieving its goals
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Modi ji set the target before India in 2014, the Defense Manufacturing Corridor and BrahMos missile are part of the same campaign. VDL is coming to Jhansi. His work has moved forward very fast. I can say with confidence that India will get it in the direction in which it has moved today. He said that in 2018, Prime Minister Modi had announced two defense corridors in the Union Budget, but where it will be made, the Prime Minister had announced in this Lucknow.
In Uttar Pradesh, 6 nodes were fixed for this. Among them, the capital Lucknow, Kanpur, Agra, Aligarh, Jhansi and Chitrakoot were selected for the Defense Manufacturing Corridor. In 2019, when the government was formed again at the Center, Rajnath Singh ji organized the Defense Expo in Lucknow for the first time in 2020. He then announced to set up a production unit of BrahMos missile in Lucknow.
Defense production and exports increased several hundred times
CM Yogi said that our work on the 6 nodes of the Defense Corridor within Uttar Pradesh is moving fast. Earlier, we launched the production center of ammunition for defense forces in Kanpur. Now there is a demand for land for its expansion. As soon as 200 acres of land was given to BrahMos in Lucknow, PTC has also come here.
PTC has started production work as an anchor unit not only for BrahMos but also for many works related to aerospace. There are about 7 anchor units related to BrahMos here. He said that today we are producing and exporting many hundred times more than the defense production of India in 2013-14. Along with self-sufficiency in defense production, they are also working to meet their safety requirements by exporting defense materials to all the friendly countries of the world.
Local youth joining defense companies
CM Yogi said that our goal in Uttar Pradesh was that in 6 Defense Manufacturing Corridor, we have to make investments of Rs 50,000 crore, 100000 youth have to be given employment. So far, 57 MoUs have been done with us from different parts of the country and the world along with the Defense Expo, through which about 30 thousand crores are going to be made from the defense sector only.
We are proceeding with about 60 thousand youths with the job target. I will thank BrahMos, PTC, DRDO, L&T and all units, who are providing employment to local level youth. The Chief Minister said that before 2017, the state where there was no job, there was an escape, today there is also an investment there, today the MSME unit is preparing the base as an anchor unit.
Today, individuals also safe and capital safe in UP
Earlier companies used to have problems in coming here, because there was no policy, lack of security. When the person is not safe, where is the capital going to be safe. Today a person is also safe, capital is also safe and we are moving firmly to meet the need for security of the country. Today we have a rich infrastructure.
The center of DRDO, along with the BrahMos missile as well as the presence of PTC as anchor unit and other important defense production, witness that Uttar Pradesh is ready to discharge its role as a growth engine with full strength to supply India’s needs in this direction. He said that Uttar Pradesh is standing strongly in contributing to the self -sufficiency of defense production of the country. Here the DRDO or other programs related to defense production like BrahMos will be required, the Uttar Pradesh government will help it as before.
