Drunken Daroga hit the woman in a car.
In the Kalyanpur police station area of Kanpur, on April 26, a woman has been facing serious allegations in the case of hitting a woman with a car. The woman’s husband alleges that the accused was drunk and the police is trying to save her. The video of the incident has now surfaced, in which the misbehavior and negligence of the inspector is clearly visible. After three days, this video is now becoming fiercely viral on social media.
The incident happened when teacher Balaram Singh came to Kalyanpur with his wife Poonam. Balaram said that he was leaving the vehicle near Gayatri temple to take flowers for worship to his wife, when a car hit his wife. The person driving the car was allegedly a inspector who hanged the uniform on his seat and wrote “Kamlesh Kumar” on his name plate.
According to Balram Singh, the inspector was drunk and after the accident, he had no effect on the rebuke of the people. People surrounded him and made a video on the spot. In the video, the inspector can be heard saying, “Never mind, what should we do if you get hurt.”
FIR lodged on the inspector
Immediately after the incident, the accused Daroga was caught and taken to Kalyanpur police station with the help of local people. Balram Singh alleges that the police took Tahrir, but did not get the medical test of the inspector and left it without action. He told that the FIR was registered after much effort the next day.
The injured woman Poonam has been admitted to a private hospital, where her leg operation was done on Monday. Poonam told that she was standing on the sidewalk with flowers, when Daroga came from the Rong side and hit a bike first and then tried to crush them. Poonam’s legs and ribs broke in the accident.

In the case, ACP Kalyanpur Abhishek Pandey said that the accused Daroga is posted in a police station in the southern zone. The investigation of the case is going on and appropriate action will be taken. This incident again raises questions on the accountability of the police department. Especially when the accused is a policeman himself and the victims have to struggle for justice.
