This time Trump will not even take Israel’s name on Saudi Yatra, focus on this deal

US President Donald Trump is going on the first Middle East visit to his second term. During this visit, he will visit three Gulf countries Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar. Their first stop is Saudi Arabia, in Saudi Arabia, the eyes of the whole world will be on the nuclear tox between the US and Saudi Arabia.

The US has been pressurizing Saudi in exchange for a nuclear deal to establish a relationship with Israel. But the Reuters, citing two sources, said that the US has now removed the demand to normalize relations with Israel to Saudi Arabia for civil nuclear cooperation negotiations.

No compromise with Israel without Palestine

Saudi Arabia has repeatedly stated that it would not recognize Israel without the Palestinian state, which failed the Biden administration’s efforts to expand the Abraham Agreement signed during Trump’s first term. Under those agreements, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco normalized relations with Israel.

Due to the fury in Arab countries over the ongoing war in Gaza, the progress towards recognizing Israel from Saudi Arabia has stopped. At the same time, nuclear dialogue was also stalled due to Washington’s nuclear non -proliferation concerns.

Why Saudi needs nuclear

Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil exporting country, cannot be considered a clean candidate for nuclear power, but its goal is to reduce carbon emissions under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s Vision 2030 and be free from crude oil for export. For which he needs a civil nuclear deal.
