When will India take revenge
Pahalgam Terror Attack: 13 days have passed since the Pahalgam terror attack, 26 innocent people lost their lives. There is only one question in every Indian’s mind- when will India answer this attack? After the 2016 Uri and 2019 Pulwama attacks, India carried out a surgical strike in Pakistan within 11 and 12 days. Strict statements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah after the Pahalgam attack indicate that retaliation may be done soon. But is India preparing the answer carefully so that Pakistan does not get caught in the strategy of provocation? Come, let’s investigate it.
What has India done so far?
- After the Pahalgam attack, India has taken strict steps to Pakistan. First, PM Modi said that he will find the attackers and his supporters from any corner of the earth and mix in the soil. After a few days he reiterated that ‘punishment will be such that it will be beyond his imagination’.
- Taking an unprecedented step, the government released the photographs of PM Modi’s three army chiefs, National Security Advisor (NSA) and Defense Minister. Also, it was informed that the PM has given the army complete freedom to choose ‘mode, target and time’ for retaliation. Home Minister Amit Shah said, ‘Every criminal of Pahalgam will be replied by selectively.’
- On Sunday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh assured, ‘It will be what you want.’ Last week, the PM met Army Chief (Wednesday), Navy Chief (Saturday), and Air Force Chief (Sunday). It is believed that options for retaliation are being discussed.
- The message of these steps was two -sided. First, warning Pakistan that India is ready to respond. Pakistan is nervous and claims that India can attack in 24-36 hours. He has put his army, air defense, and the Navy on high alert. Pakistan is living in the shadow of fear due to the delay of India.
- The second message was for the countrymen that the government is monitoring the situation. India suspended the Indus Water Treaty (IWT). Due to this, the water of rivers in Pakistan either reduced or flood situation. Their crops suffered heavy losses. India has put pressure on Pakistan’s funding through the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Financial Action Task Force (FATF).
Need to address Hindu outrage
There is anger across the country over the target of Hindu tourists in Pahalgam. People are feeling humiliated. The government knows that it is necessary to address the sentiments of Hindu majority. For this, concrete action will have to be shown against Pakistan.
Does Pakistan want to provoke India?
- Pahalgam attack time is suspicious. This happened when India’s economic growth is increasing rapidly. India is on the verge of trade agreement with America. At the same time, China is having problems with global spleen chain due to American tariff. On the other hand, Army Chief General Aseem Munir became unpopular after the Balochistan attack in Pakistan. A few days before the attack, Munir made a provocative statement. In this, Kashmir was called Jagler Wayne of Pakistan (nerve of throat).
- Tourists in Jammu and Kashmir have never been targeted in this way. The Pahalgam attack makes it clear that it seems to be a conspiracy to instigate India and force Modi to retaliate. Since the attack, Pakistan has been continuously talking about ‘fear of war’, while India never said so.
- What happened last week in Pakistan? Munir counted the ISI chief in a way by getting the post of National Security Advisor. Due to this, the power of the Pakistani PM remained nominal. China openly supported Pakistan in the United Nations Security Council and bilateral talks. It is clear that Pakistan and China want India to get entangled in a big struggle, so that the economic progress of India derails. India-Pakistan should again be linked together on the global stage.
- Role of America and India’s strategy
- US Vice President JD Wance said that he hopes that India should respond to the Pahalgam attack. This does not increase regional conflicts. It is an indication that the US supports India’s limited action, as during the Balakot strike in 2019.
- India’s priority is to eliminate the attackers. For the last 13 days, military operations have been going on in Pir Panjal Range. India Pakistan wants to end sponsored terrorism forever. The Pakistani army and its chief Munir want to bring them into the dock, but India does not want to respond in a hurry.
