Sultana Begum was seeking possession of the Red Fort, Supreme Court also asked Fatehpur Sikri

Supreme Court and Constitution

An interesting petition was filed in the Supreme Court by Sultana Begum, the alleged widow of Pardot of Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last ruler of the Mughal Empire. The court dismissed which today, Sultana Begum allegedly describes herself as the legal successor of Bahadur Shah Zafar. On this basis, he filed a petition in the court seeking possession of the Red Fort in the capital Delhi.

Obviously, hearing this, no one would smile for a moment. This petition was before a bench headed by Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna in the court. He not only dismissed the petition in one stroke. Rather, it is said that this is a completely bear-foot petition. Also, it is not worth the hearing from anywhere.

Delhi High Court also went!

However, it is also here that it is not the first time that Sultana Begum has filed such a petition. She currently lives in Howrah near Kolkata. He first filed this petition in the High Court in the year 2021. He hoped that the government would pay attention to his point on this pretext and would give at least some financial help. But nothing like this was seen.

Supreme Court also taunted

The Delhi High Court had rejected it, citing a delay of more than 164 years in the case of the case. At the same time, when the Supreme Court heard the matter today, he dismissed this petition and said why the Red Fort, why Fatehpur Sikri, why were they not left.

It is obvious that the country’s highest court was a stance that you can file such a meaningless petition.
