After Sheikh Hasina’s coup in Bangladesh, the crime rate has reached its peak. Drug addiction, theft and smuggling have become common in Bangladesh. Not only this, the border of Bangladesh was also not safe and from there the decoration of destruction is being brought to Bangladesh.
Myanmar, the neighboring country of Bangladesh, is currently in the grip of violence. 80 percent of the armed group in Rakhine State of Myanmar is under control of Arakan Army (AA). The fight between Rohingya armed groups and some Arakan army units in occupied areas is still going on. Which is making drugs and animal trafficking easier from Arakan to Bangladesh. Yaba production is also not stopping. Rather, it is increasing day by day.
Smuggling of drugs from neighboring country
Drugs and tablets are being smuggled in Bangladesh continuously due to Arakan. To stop this, the Bagladesh Coast Guard has launched the campaign. Last Thursday, the Coast Guard raided Habirchara area of Teknaf Sadar Union and recovered more than 3 lakh bags of Yaba bullets. However, no smuggler was arrested at this time.
Lieutenant Commander Harun and Rashid, media officer of Bangladesh Coast Guard, said that two people were trying to lift the consignment of Yaba brought from Myanmar on their shoulders late at night and try to take off through the marine drive. When the members of the Coast Guard indicated to stop both persons, they managed to leave the sacks filled with yaba and escaped. The value of the seized Yaba is 16 million.
Bangladesh’s money in Myanmar Jung
Investigations have shown that the armed groups of Rakhine State are continuing drugs and animals smuggling in Bangladesh to meet the lack of money. In return, rice, pulses, oil, milk, sugar, vegetables, edible oil, fuel, urea fertilizer etc. are being brought daily from Bangladesh to Rakhin state. After all the efforts, this smuggling is not able to stop.
