Wolf in lamb skins Pakistan, terrorism provokes against India by taking loans in the name of development

New Delhi: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has once again given bailout package to Pakistan. Pakistan has taken money from IMF many times before, but it has always broken the promises. On 9 May, the Executive Board of IMF approved the extended Fund facility (EFF) for Pakistan and a new flexibility and stability facility (RSF). India reacted strongly to this. India said in a strict statement that it is concerned with the constant support of the IMF to Pakistan. India did not participate in voting. India said, “Pakistan has been taking loans from IMF for a long time. It has not followed the IMF rules properly.” But there is a big question behind this protest: how long will the country promoting terrorism be given international financial help?

This IMF Bellout has come at a time when India attacked terrorist bases in Pakistan. India targeted nine terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir under “Operation Sindoor”. The attack was in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, in which 26 civilians were killed. India’s fighter aircraft and drones destroyed the terrorist structure. Pakistan’s army also showed an aggressive stance, but did not directly retaliate. This shows that Pakistan’s economic condition is bad. Now, a few days after this incident, Pakistan has got another bailout from the IMF. This has provided financial help to Pakistan to maintain itself without solving its problems. This includes promoting terrorism.

Pakistan sought financial assistance from IMF 24 times

Pakistan has taken a lot of debt from IMF. Since 1958, Pakistan has sought financial assistance from IMF 24 times. But the results have not been according to expectations. Pakistan has repeatedly misused money, rather than making economic reforms. He has strengthened the army, promoted terrorism across the border, and has made corrupt people rich. Pakistan’s famous economist Kaiser Bengali has also said that Pakistan is a beggar country, which only takes loans to repay the old debt.

India’s objections in the IMF were not just about economic understanding. She was based on the fact that Pakistan promotes terrorism. Organizations such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Hizbul Mujahideen are openly working with the support of Pakistan’s army and intelligence services. Even after the IMF gets help for decades, Pakistan’s economy is always in crisis. The army dominates politics, and civil governments are only named.

Foreign debt of over 130 billion dollars

Statistics show that Pakistan has a foreign debt of over $ 130 billion. He has only $ 15 billion foreign exchange reserves, which is not enough for three months of imports. Nevertheless, according to Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI), the country spent $ 10 billion on defense in 2024, which is 2.6% of its GDP. Military expenses are going to increase further. Islamabad has proposed an increase in defense spending by 18% this year. At the same time, very little money is being invested in essential areas like education, health and infrastructure.

Tax system is also very bad

The tax system in Pakistan is also very bad. Out of every 100 rupees tax, trade and importing companies pay only 60 paise tax. This is because there is a lot of corruption there. Leaders and traders do not pay tax together and earn a lot of money. The international community repeatedly gets into talks of Pakistan’s economic crisis. The General of Pakistan, who runs the country, blackmails in the name of nuclear weapons. They say that if there is no stability in Pakistan, then there may be a danger, and thus they get financial help. This is a clever trick from which they keep taking financial help from global lenders without any accountability.

Must understand the move of Pakistan

But now this trick has to be understood. The work of IMF is to bring economic stability in the world, but this is not happening due to repeated bailouts to Pakistan. These debts have increased the wrong attitude of Islamabad. The money for economic reform is spent in military expenses, and extremist groups continue to support.

The world cannot provide any further help to a country that refuses to improve, promotes terrorism, and blackmails in the name of nuclear weapons. IMF will have to change its thinking. Instead of rewarding bad countries, he has to make them accountable. How long will the world continue to provide financial help to the country that promotes terrorism? This question should be asked not only from India, but from every country that gives importance to the security and economic honesty of the world.
